These terms describe the use of Lunolog and lunolog.com. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. About Lunolog

Lunolog is provided by Takumi Nakamura. You can contact us at [email protected]. The app offers a lunar calendar, cultural context, planning and personal journaling tools.

2. The app and your license

If you obtain Lunolog through the App Store, your app license is governed by the license terms presented there, including Apple's Standard End User License Agreement where no custom license agreement is provided. These website terms do not replace the applicable App Store license or Apple's terms.

You may use the app and website for lawful personal purposes. Do not interfere with their security, infringe another person's rights, or redistribute our original content without permission, except where the law or an applicable license allows it. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

3. Astronomy, traditions and your decisions

Lunolog combines astronomical information with folk traditions. Cultural interpretations are provided for curiosity and reflection; they are not scientifically proven facts or predictions. The app does not provide medical, financial, legal or other professional advice. Do not use its recommendations as a substitute for qualified advice or as the basis for decisions involving safety.

Calendar calculations and interpretations may vary with your selected location, time zone, method or tradition. We do not promise any particular outcome from following a calendar recommendation.

4. Your entries and local data

You retain your rights to the notes and other content you create. You are responsible for what you record, export or share. Your use of the app does not give us ownership of your journal.

Lunolog stores journal data locally and does not provide an account-based cloud sync service. Keep backups of anything you want to preserve. Device changes, deletion, storage problems or changes to your backup settings may affect access to local data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Notifications, widgets and availability

Notifications require permission and may be affected by device settings and operating-system behavior. Widgets and reminders are convenience features and should not be relied on for time-critical or safety-critical tasks.

We may release updates to improve or change features. Compatibility, uninterrupted availability and error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Nothing here removes any warranty, remedy or protection required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual property

The Lunolog name, original artwork, website design and app content belong to their respective rights holders. Access to the app or website does not transfer ownership of those materials. This does not restrict your rights in your own entries or any rights granted under third-party licenses.

7. External services

If you follow a link, email support or share a file with another app, that external service operates under its own terms and privacy policy. Please review those policies before sharing personal information.

8. Stopping use and changes to these terms

You can stop using the website or uninstall the app at any time. Manage exported files and device backups separately. App-license termination is governed by the applicable license agreement.

We may update these terms when features or practices change. The current version and update date will be available on this page. Any consent or notice required by applicable law will be handled as required.

9. Your statutory rights

These terms do not exclude or limit any consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Applicable mandatory law continues to apply.
